HIGH PRESSURE CLEANING

Over time anything left outside can build up lots of dirt and grime. Often you cannot remove the dirt of grime, even with hours scrubbing. High pressure cleaning will remove even the most stubborn dirt and grime.

Pressure cleaning involves the use of specialised equipment which shoots water from a high-pressure hose. It is particularly useful on concrete, tiles or brickwork which are covered in moss, dirt, oil, mould or other contaminants. It can be performed on rooftops, driveways, carparks, pools, patios and many other surfaces.

RFFM highly trained cleaners are experts in pressure cleaning on all surfaces, using the latest equipment and safety procedures to ensure the job is completed quickly and safely. As pressure cleaning can be an incredibly dangerous activity, we recommend leaving it to the professionals!

ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What happens when solar panels are dirty?
Everything from dust to grime to fallen leaves can get on your solar panels and cause efficiency problems. Leaves are obvious. Dust, grime, and pollen are less obvious, but they do also reduce efficiency significantly
  • How can I save money with solar panel cleaning?
When your solar panels are back to working at full capacity, you will save much more money on your electricity. Most homes and businesses that use solar panels are still hooked up to the grid, and the owners get money back from the utilities companies for feeding energy into the grid. Higher efficiency means higher amounts of electricity, which in turn means more savings and higher kickbacks from your utilities company.
  • What affects your long-term solar production?
Dust Grime Pollen Leaves Tree Debris Bird Poop Salt Water (If near Ocean) Corrosion Rain and Water Spots
  • How often should I have my panels cleaned?
Depending on your location, usually annually is sufficient however in some areas it is necessary to have the panels cleaned twice a year.
  • Can I clean my own panels?
Never attempt to clean your own panels. Apart from the associated risks when climbing on a roof, a professional will be aware of electrical faults and avoid possible electric shocks.
  • But the rain cleans my panels. Doesn't it?
You only need to look at your car after it has been out in the elements for a period of time. What was once a clean white car is now a shade of brown. Rain actually contributes to the problem especially if your panels are affected by lichen or the tilt of the panels is minimal.
  • I was told my panels are self-cleaning?
NO. It’s a sales gimmick. Solar companies are primarily selling solar systems with large profits and are more interested in the thousands of dollars they can make from a new sale, not the pocket change from actually providing customers with a full-service offering.
  • How much money are you losing by not cleaning your panels?
    *This is an average Solar System that has not been cleaned Year 1 Q1: 5% Energy Loss Year 1 Q2: 10% Energy Loss Year 1 Q3: 15% Energy Loss Year 1 Q4: 20% Energy Loss Year 2 Q1: 25% Energy Loss Year 2 Q2: 30% Energy Loss Year 2 Q3: 35% Energy Loss Year 2 Q4: 35% Energy Loss
  • Will nano coating leave residue on the panels?
In simple terms NO... the coating is Invisible to the human eye (coating thickness: 50 - 60 nm)
  • Is it safe to use and is it environmentally friendly?
The product we use has been extensively tested and found to be Biologically safe and Ecologically beneficial.
  • How does it self-clean?
Once applied it becomes part of the surface giving the surface hydrophobic and self-cleaning properties. The coating's self-cleaning effect stops dust, pollen, pollution and bird faeces from sticking to solar panels and water simply beads off when it rains
  • Will nano coating save me money?
YES, dirty panels can lose up to 30% efficiency in a relative small space of time and nano coating keeps them cleaner for longer. You also save on cleaning cost as cleaning coated panels is much easier in comparison to uncoated panels.
  • Do you need rain for the coating to work?
Rain is ideal as the water droplets bead off the panels taking any contaminants with it; however it is just as important to have panels coated in areas where rain is minimal as it stops contaminants sticking to the surface with its self cleaning properties.
  • Are RFFM solar specialist trained in panel cleaning?
All RFFM workers are industry specialists with years of experience. They are fully trained, insured and ready to work.
